Dear Clients, Colleagues and Friends:

Welcome to the inaugural issue of the International Lawyer Coach Newsletter™ published by International Lawyer Coach, Inc.

As many of you know, I am an international lawyer who now works as a professionally trained executive coach and consultant to lawyers, helping attorneys stay competitive in this increasingly global environment.  I work with clients to create and implement customized strategies for rainmaking and client development, improved communication and leadership, media exposure, career change, time management and related issues.

If you have not yet done so, please visit the company website: www.InternationalLawyerCoach.com.

The International Lawyer Coach Blog posted on the website shares practice tips for lawyers working on international matters. These tips, insights and lessons learned are designed to give international lawyers (whether experienced, aspiring or transitioning) the practical tools they need to propel their careers forward. The Learn: Professional Development page of the site contains other resources, including interviews with prominent international figures about what makes an effective international lawyer.  You may enjoy reading my current interviews with Hon. Chase Untermeyer, US Ambassador to the State of Qatar, and former Brazilian President Henrique Cardoso.

Regular issues of this newsletter will also share advice about how to enhance and grow an international law practice, and they will be archived on the website.

Please review the website and email me your comments at Janet@InternationalLawyerCoach.com. I would greatly appreciate your feedback. In addition, if you have practice tips to share or topics to suggest, or if you would like to recommend someone (including yourself) to be interviewed for the site, please also email me.

For those in the Houston area, you are invited to attend the next Texas Women Lawyers' CLE event on September 27, 2006 from 5:30-7:30 at Ouisie's (3939 San Felipe) at which I'll present "Being an Effective Female Lawyer in a Global Environment: Improving Attorney-Client Communication Amidst Globalization." The State Bar of Texas has approved the program for 1.25 hours of CLE credit.

Finally, please forward this newsletter to others who might be interested and invite them to visit www.InternationalLawyerCoach.com. You can contact me by email at  Janet@InternationalLawyerCoach.com or telephone at 281-247-4080. Please stay in touch.

All the best,
